1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using AlcoTool ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Age Requirement

You must be of legal drinking age in your country or region to use this App. In the United Kingdom this is 18 years old. By using the App you confirm that you meet the legal age requirement in your jurisdiction.

3. Description of Service

AlcoTool is a personal drink tracking application for iOS. The App allows you to:

• Log drinks by type, volume, and ABV
• Track your drink history over time
• View summaries of your consumption
• Monitor weekly and monthly drinking patterns
• View personal insights based on logged data

Premium features are available via subscription (see Section 7).

4. Safety and Information Disclaimer

AlcoTool is a drink tracking and analytics application for informational purposes only. It does not measure, calculate, or estimate alcohol levels, intoxication, or impairment.

The App is not a medical device and is not intended for clinical, legal, or safety-critical use. Information provided by the App must not be used to make decisions about driving, operating machinery, or any activity where safety is a concern.

Always follow applicable laws and official guidance in your region.

5. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate drink logging information where required
• Use the App only for personal, lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the App
• Not use the App in any way that could cause harm to yourself or others

6. Data and Privacy

All data entered into AlcoTool is stored locally on your device only. No personal data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.

7. Premium Subscriptions

7.1 Features

Premium includes:

• Custom drink creation
• Expanded drink catalogue
• CSV export of drink history
• Dashboard customisation
• Advanced insights and analytics
• Home screen widgets (daily totals and streaks)

7.2 Free Trial

A 3-day free trial may be offered once per device. No charge is applied during the trial period.

7.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed via Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

7.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time via your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and assets within the App are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence for personal use only.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple frameworks such as StoreKit and UserNotifications. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.

10. Notifications

If enabled, the App may send local notifications such as:

• Drink logging reminders
• Weekly consumption summaries
• NHS guideline reminders based on logged units
• Sober day streak updates
• Subscription or trial reminders

Notifications are generated locally on your device and can be disabled at any time in iOS settings.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The developer does not guarantee accuracy, reliability, or suitability for any purpose.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the App. This includes any decisions made based on information displayed within the App.

13. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
